Monsoon active over South Coastal AP

Hyderabad, Nov 1 (UNI) With North-East monsoon active over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, rain occurred at most places over Telangana and a few places over Rayalaseema.

The weather office here today said low pressure persisted over West Central and adjoining South West Bay of Bengal.

Under its influence, widespread rain was likely over Andhra Pradesh during the next 24 hours.

Kalwakurthy in Mahabubnagar district received a heavy rainfall of 11 cm followed by Piduguralla and Vinjamur nine cm each, Sattenapalli and Srisailam seven cm each.

The chief amount of rainfall recorded in cm were Kandukur six, Kavali, Devarakonda, Khanapur and Pargi five each, Guntur, Achampet and Kodangal Koilkuntla and Tandur four each and Machilipatnam, Nizamabad, Rentachintala, Eturnagaram, Jammalamadugu, Prathipadu, Sultanabad, Tenali and Vikarabad three each.
