ITDC profit surges 86.03 per cent during Apr-Sep 07

New Delhi, Nov 1 (UNI) India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) today said its profit has nearly doubled in the first six months of the current fiscal at Rs 20.11 crore against Rs 10.81 crore during the same period last year.

The ITDC's profit has gone up, though the turnover has gone down by 7.50 per cent during the six-month period as compared to the same period last year.

Sources said the turnover had dipped because of the reduction in the number of duty-free shops run by the ITDC.
