Ford launches Road Side Assistance programme

New Delhi, Nov 1 (UNI) Ford India today announced the launch of its customer support initiative 'Road Side Assistance' in partnership with Mondial Assistance.

The new service will be available to the customers for a period of one year from the date of sale of the car and will be initially available in Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi and the NCR region and Chennai.

After this period, customers will be charged a fee of Rs 1,100.

The service will be extended to 12 other cities in next one year, company's Vice President (Marketing) Scott McCormack told reporters here.

''We have done some dealership changes in few areas and have increased our outlets from 115 to 135 this year,'' he added.

The company will strengthen its diesel portfolio and expand into the existing segments, Mr McCormack said.

The 24-hour service will be accessible through a national toll free number providing on-site assistance services for minor repairs, transportation of car to service centre if required, fuel delivery, jumpstart of batteries and others.

The company has signed up with an internationally acclaimed automotive service provider Mondial Assistance to introduce the speedy, professionaly managed service in India.
