Emami's sec quarter turnover rises by 16%:Net Profit grows by 17%

Kolkata, Nov 1(UNI) The second quarter of Emami Limited has witnessed turnover at 16 per cent with Rs 103.5 crores, while the Net Profit stood at Rs 10.5 cr, an increase of 17% over the corresponding period in the previous year.

For the half year ending on September 30 last, the turnover has increased by 9 per cent while Net Profits at Rs. 20.5 crore.

A company release said Emami has recorded strong growth for its power brands like Navratna Oil, Boroplus Antiseptic Cream, Boroplus Prickly Heat Powder, Menthoplus Balm, Sonachandi Chyawanprash and other new products.

For the first half, however, Sales at Rs. 210 crores grew by 8.7 per cent and Net Profit at Rs 19.2 crores.

The company's international business has grown by 13 per cent in the first half.

Growth is being recorded from all countries specially SAARC, CIS, Africa and Europe.
