Delhi BJP demands compensation for blueline accident victims

New Delhi, Nov 1 (UNI) BJP Delhi Pradesh President Harsh Vardhan today demanded that the state Government pay compensation of Rs 5 lakh immediately to family members of the people killed in road accidents involvine bluelines.

The demand was made through a resolution passed unanimously in the monthly meeting convened under the chairmanship of Dr Harsh Vardhan.

The resolution demanded that a safe transport policy be framed and a judicial enquiry instituted into the connivance between the blueline bus operators and the Government.

''After removing Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit from her post, a judicial Commission should enquire into the bunglings in power, water, computer, smart card, Jal Board, education, health, dairy, housing and jhuggi plot allotment,''the resolution said.

The resolution demanded from the Central Government that it should immediately make special allotment of Rs 25,000 crore to meet the demands of basic amenities in the capital so that the people may be rid of the hellish life here.

The resolution said besides the terror of blueline buses there are many other problems for which the Chief Minister could not find any solution during her nine years rule.

''Delhi is suffering from steep price spiral. The budget of every kitchen has increased by 30 to 50 per cent. The price of milk has increased four times. The power and water tariff have also increased many times. Purchasing a house has become a dream for the middle class and lower sections. The speculators, middlemen are calling the shots,''it said.

Present at the meeting were Deputy Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Vijay Kumar Malhotra, National Secretary Vijay Goel, Leader of the Opposition in Delhi Legislative Assembly Jagdish Mukhi, Leader of the MCD House Subhash Arya, former MP Anita Arya, former President Mange Ram Garg and Vice Presidents Ram Bhaj and Abdul Rasheed.

General Secretary Pawan Sharma, Organisational General Secretary Vijay Sharma, Secretaries Sahab Singh Chauhan, Vijender Gupta, Surya Bhan Pandey, Treasurer Shyam Lal Garg, Office Secretary Udaya Sharma, Yuva Morcha President Anil Sharma, S.C. Morcha President Dr.

Rajender Sonkar, Kisan Morcha President Jeet Ram Solanki, Aajivan SahayogiSadasya Incharge Narender Bindal and other Legislators were also present.
