Conference on Paediatric Neurosurgery to begin tomorrow
Chandigarh, Nov 1 (UNI) Over 200 neurosurgeons and paediatricians will converge here tomorrow to deliberate upon various aspects of Paediatric Neurosurgery during the International CME Programme and the 18th Annual Conference of the Indian society for Paediatric Neurosurgery.
The programme is being organised by the Department of Neurosurgery, Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research from Nov 2-4 at PGIMER.
Stating this here today, Organising Committee Chairman Dr VK Khosla said the various aspects of Paediatric Neurosurgical problem which would be discussed during the programme, include surgery for epilepsy, strokes in children, brain and spinal tumours, fetal MRI etc.
Organising Secretary Ashis Pathak said many diseases of the brain and spine in neonates and children need specialised care and treatment. These diseases may range from congenital problems developmental problems, tumours of the brain, epilepsy, strokes etc.
The conference aims at increasing the awareness of surgical condition of brain and spine amongst the paediatricians, Dr Pathak said.
