Compensation demanded for death of convict

Coimbatore, Nov 1 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Dauheeth Jamat (TDJ) State Secretary Jafar Ali today demanded that the State Government provide Rs ten lakh to the family of Coimbatore serial bomb blasts convict M H Sabur Rahman, who died of heart attack in the Central Prison here yesterday.

Talking to newspersons at Coimbatore Medical College (CMC) hospital here, he demanded that the government order a judicial inquiry into the death.

Alleging that Rahman died following lack of first aid in the Prison, he also demanded that the government take action against the doctor in the prison and provide a government job to a member of the family of the deceased.
