Badal congratulates Punjabis on 41st Punjab Day
Jalandhar, Nov 1 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal congratulated all the Punjabis on the occasion of 41st Punjab Day here today and said ''we all should work towards maintaining peace and prosperity in the state so that Punjab could progress more.'' While speaking at a function organised at Lyallpur Khalsa College on the occasion, the CM praised the Lyallpur Khalsa Education Association for organising the funtion in coordination with the Punjab Jagriti Manch and said that he would look into the issue of granting status of a university to the college Later, while talking to media persons, Mr Badal refrained from saying anything positive on giving Dearness Allowance to the state government employees as Diwali gift.
He accused Congress of being anti-Punjabi since partition, criticising it for not giving all Punjabi speaking areas to the state including Chandigarh.
He said that whenver Congress came to power at the Centre it had always adopted double-standards for Punjab and had become a hurdle in the progress of the state.

the
High
Court,
Mr
Badal
said,''If
the
court
gives
bail
to
a
person
that
does
not
mean
the
person
is
innocent.''
