Anganwadi children to get horlicks
Puducherry, Nov 1 (UNI) The Puducherry administration proposes to introduce a scheme to provide horlicks to anganwadi children in the morning every day, Welfare Minister M Kandasamy said today.
Inaugurating a children's home constructed by the Women and Child Development Corporation here, Mr Kandasamy said all anganwadi centres functioning in thatched sheds would be converted into buildings before the next financial year.
Stating that the government would take steps to acquire the polyster clothes meant for the free garment scheme, produced at the government-owned Anglo-French textile mills, the minister said clothes made by the handloom weavers would also be purchased for the free distribution scheme.
