Addressing a press conference here last night, Mrs Alva appealed to all state Congress members to work unitedly to strengthen the party for the forthcoming assembly elections, so that Congress can provide good governance to the people.
She also appealed to the state government machineries to maintain law and order in the state so taht the elections could be conducted in a free and fair manner.
On the leadership issue in the state level, the Congress leader said the present leadership is doing well and she has not seen any need of change in leadership in Nagaland.
She asserted that the party workers were already preparing for the elections and added that over hundred Congress aspirants had already submitted their applications for the next elections and the AICC will decide their fate by November 17 next.
She asserted that the party would be impartial in selecting candidates and that the names of the candidates would be declared soon.
