Meeting of district correspondents of AIR held in Shimla

Shimla, Oct 31 (UNI) A meeting of the District Correspondents of All India Radio (AIR) working in the varous parts of the state was held here today to acquaint them regarding proper coverage of Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha elections.

Speaking on the occasion, State Chief Election Officer (CEO) Manisha Nanda detailed about the arrangements for conducting free and fair elections in the state.

She said media especially AIR was playing a vital role in informing and educating the masses regarding election procedures including use of voter identity card, model code of conduct, use of electronic voting machines.

AIR Shimla is doing a yeoman service in dissemination of timely information to the people living in the far flung areas of the state, she added.
