AP to distribute 2 lakh acres to poor on Nov 19

Hyderabad, Oct 31 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Revenue Minister D Prasada Rao today said the 'fourth phase of land distribution programme' would be held on November 19, the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

Briefing newspersons here, Mr Rao said two lakh acres of land would be distributed to the poor on November 19.

Stating that the Chief Minister had directed the collectors to identify the government lands to be distributed among the poor in the districts, the minister said the date for the fifth phase of the land distribution programme would be announced on November 19.

Mr Rao said the Collectors were ordered to take up the rehabilitation of families, whose lands were acquired for various projects.
