Addl police outpost to be set up near Central bus stand

Tiruchirapalli, Oct 31 (UNI) The City Police will set up an additional police outpost near the central bus stand to check incidents of crime.

Informing this to newspersons here last night, City Police Commissioner Shankar Jiwal said after the proposed outpost starts functioning, altogether 36 close circuit surveillance cameras would be in operation to monitor the movement of anti-social elements.

He said security personnel have been posted in all the crowded places in the city in view of the Deepavali festival.
