12 candidates in fray for tribal assembly polls in HP

Shimla, Oct, 31 (UNI) Two candidates withdrew their nomination on the last day of withdrawal for three tribal assembly constituencies of Kinnaur, Bharmour and Lahaul and Spiti scheduled to be held on November 14.

Now there were 12 candidates left in the fray, election department spokesperson said here today.

Both the independent candidates Mr Shyam Chand from Lahaul and Spiti and Daya Ram from Bharmour assembly consitituency withdrew their nominations, she said.

The spokesperson said from the Kinnaur assembly constituency Mr Jagat Singh Negi of (Congress), Mr Tejwant Singh of (BJP) and Mr Susheel Sagar of (BSP), and Mr Bhagat Singh of (Lok Jan Shakti) are left in the fray.

From Bharmour assembly constituency, Mr Thakur Singh of (Congress), Mr Tulsi Ram of (BJP) and Mr Balbir Kumar of (BSP), Mr Chandu Lal (Independent) and Mr Munish Kumar (Independent) are contesting, she added.

The Spokesperson said from the Lahaul and Spiti assembly Constituency, Mr Phunchog Rai (Congress), Mr Bir Singh of (BSP)and Mr Ram Lal Markanda of (BJP) are left in the fray.
