Youth killed, three injured in attack over land dispute

Sonepat, Oct 30 (UNI) A young farmer died on the spot and his brother Sandeep, an aged person Om Prakash and his second wife Shakuntala were injured seriously when they were allegedly attacked by some persons, including two sons of Om Prakash, with sharp-edged weapons while the victims were ploughing the fields in village Aterana today.

The body of Dhanraj has been brought to local civil hospital.

Of the injured, Om Prakash has been referred to a Delhi hospital while Sandeep and Shakuntala are admitted in civil hospital here.

A land dispute between Om Prakash and his sons is reported to be cause of the incident.

According to unconfirmed reports, the police have arrested three pesons including sons, Rajbir and Rajender. A case of murder has been registered at Kundli police station.

In another incident, a 35 years old Surjeet of village Salimpur Trali under Mohana police station was shot dead by two armed motorcycle-borne unidentified persons around noon today while the victim was returning from the fields.

His body has been brought for post mortem in the civil hospital here and a case has been registered.
