UP Governor dismisses Gorakhpur University VC

Lucknow, Oct 30 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Governor T V Rajeswar today dismissed the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University.

The action was taken after several administrative, academic and financial irregularities were detected against varsity' VC Prof Arun Kumar in a probe report by Rajeev Kumar, official sources said.

Mr A K Mittal, a senior professor, will discharge the duties till the appointment of the regular VC.
