Two killed, six injured and 9 houses gutted in Kashmir

Srinagar , Oct 30 (UNI) Two people were killed and six others injured in road accidents while nine houses and other structures were gutted in a fire incident in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said.

They said a truck hit and critically wounded two motorcyclists at Gusoo in south Kashmir district of Pulwama. One of the injured identified as Wasim Ahmad Wani was shifted to hospital where he was declared brought dead. The condition of another injured was serious.

Another vehicle hit and killed a five-year-old Insha daughter of Fayaz Ahmad Wani at Drugmulla in the frontier district of Kupwara.

Four passengers were injured when a vehicle in which they were travelling met with an accident at village Patvav in the central Kashmir district of Badgam. The injured were hospitalised.

They said a pedestrian was hit and wounded by a car at Choon at Badgam. He as admitted to hospital.

Six houses and a cowshed were gutted in a devastating fire at Ashtangoo while another house was reduced to ashes to Nambla in border town of Uri in north Kashmir. The cause of the fire was not known.
