TTD to hold 'Srivari Kalyanam' in Gurgoan

New Delhi, Oct 30 (UNI) The Tirupati Tirumala Devasthan (TTD) in keeping with the holy traditions established by the Vijayanagar Kings, are reenacting 'Srivari Kalyanam' the divine wedding of Lord Venkateshwara in Gurgoan, Haryana, in the outskirts of Delhi on November 4.

The TTD has been organising such events for futhering the propagation of dharma around the country in several places including Chennai, Madurai and Mumbai, attracting lakhs of devotees.

The TTD had agreed to host such a grand event in Haryana in response to the appeal of Telugu Academy of Gurgoan at Sector 29, HUDA Open Ground where Haryana Governor A R Kidwai, Chief Minister Bhupinder Hooda and Union Minister T Subbarami Reddy.

Chairman of the TTD B Karunakara Reddy and TTD Chief Executive Officer K V Ramana Chari and a team of temple staff will reenact the holy wedding. The idols and other pooja materials have been dispatched from Tirupati, a TTD release said.
