TTD hopes to end water crisis by '08
Tirumala, Oct 30 (UNI) The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) will be able to put end to the growing water shortage in the Lord Venkateswara Temple here, with the completion of Kumaradhara and Pasupudhara dams, TTD Chief Engineer V S B Koteswara Rao said here today.
After inspecting works at Kumaradhara and Pasupudhara dam sites he told reporters that the works were scheduled to be complete by November this year. However, it was rescheduled due to tardy progress.
A fine of Rs 16 lakh was slapped on the Hyderabad-based M/S Maytas Infra Limited, the contract company, for delaying the project.
