Hospital
here
where
State
Congress
President
M
Krishnaswamy
is
undergoing
treatment
after
he
suffered
a
stab
injury
inflicted
by
an
armed
gang
last
night.
Mr Karunanidhi, who arrived here this morning for taking part in the Thevar Jayanti celebrations drove straight from the railway station to the hospital to enquire about the condition of Mr Krishnaswamy.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by senior ministerial colleagues Arcot N Veerasamy, Duraimurugan, I Periyasamy and Thangam Thennarasu.
Hospital sources said the condition of Mr Krishnaswamy was 'stable.' After a CT scan last night, an emergency surgery was conducted by a team of surgeons and the Congress leader was progressing well.
A team of doctors were continously monitoring the condition of Mr Krishnaswamy.
The TNCC president was on his way in a car to Mudukulathur to attend a function when he was stabbed by an armed gang at Keezha Kanniseri in Ramanathapuram district last night.
