Speculation about transfer of IPS officers

Bhopal, Oct 30 (UNI) The final list of transfer and posting orders of IPS officers -- including Inspector General (Indore range), Bhopal Superintendent of Police and SPs of other districts -- in Madhya Pradesh was not given green signal till late night.

A senior home ministry official confirmed that there was a proposal in this regard. However, the order had not been released.

It was being understood that the list could not be released because consensus could not arrived at top-level over some names.

Sources said the list could be released tomorrow. After the list of IPS officers, a list of IAS officers would also be released.
