Rs 5 lakh stolen in two incidents
Nashik, Oct 30 (UNI) Unidentified miscreants decamped with more than Rs 5 lakh in cash from two cars in two separate incidents in the city.
Police said the miscreants smashed the rear window of a car parked outside Takie Jewellers showroom on college road here yesterday and fled away with a bag carrying Rs 3,22,000 in cash.
Rahul Dattatraya Shirode, the owner of the car and the bag, had parked his vehicle and gone to a nearby shop.
In another incident, some unidentified swindlers told the driver of a car, parked on M G Road, that some currency notes were lying on the road. When he bowed down to look for them, the persons picked the bag lying in the car, containing Rs two lakh in cash, and made off.
The owner of the car, Kiran Pawar, had gone for some work and told the driver to keep watch on the bag kept in the car.
Two separate cases in relation to the incidents have been registered under section 379 of the IPC at Sarkarwarda police station and further investigations were on.
UNI
