Road in South Delhi named after Pramod Mahajan

New Delhi, Oct 30 (UNI) A road in South Delhi was today named after BJP leader Pramod Mahajan on the occasion of his 59th birth anniversary.

Leader of the Opposition L K Advani today dedicated a street connecting the PVR multiplex in Saket and the Mehrauli-Badarpur road in south Delhi to the late Mahajan.

Also present at the function were Pramod Mahajan's widow Rekha Mahajan, senior BJP leader Vijay Goel, area MLA Vijay Jolly and Delhi Mayor Arti Mehra.

Mahajan was allegedly shot dead by his brother Pravin in April 2006.

Born on October 30, 1949, Pramod Mahajan was prominent among the second generation leaders of the BJP.

Belonging to a group of relatively young "technocrat" leaders of the party, Mahajan was an architect of numerous poll victories for the BJP.
