Mumbai, Oct 30 (UNI) Additional sessions court judge S P Davare, conducting trials into the Pramod Mahajan murder case, today ordered an in-camera recording of accused Pravin Mahajan's statement after special public prosecutor Nitin Pradhan requested the court in this regard.

On the second day of recording his statement today, Pravin Mahajan made a turnaround and said he had visited Pramod Mahajan's residence at ''Poorna Building'' on April 22 last year at around 0730 hrs.

Pramod Mahajan was waiting for him at the gallery of the house, Pravin Mahajan told the court and volunteered to elaborate on the dialogue that had taken place between him and Pramod Mahajan.

At this point, however, special public prosecutor Nitin Pradhan took objection and said revealation of the dialogue to the public would be scandalising a person who is no more and, so, the statement of the accused should be recorded in-camera.

Judge Davare, after mutual consent of the defence and the prosecution, ordered for an in-camera recording of Pravin Mahajan's statement.

Earlier, defence advocate Harshad Ponda had filed an application praying that he wanted to examine another defence witness. The judge granted the permission and the defence witness will be examined on Thursday.
