Heavy rains in Kerala, Lakshwadeep

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 30 (UNI) The North East Monsoon was vigorous over Kerala with rains lashing most places in the state and also in Lakshwadeep.

According to local Met Office, Thrissur recorded the highest rainfall of eight cm followed by CIAL Kochi and Vaikom six cm each.

While Alwaye recorded a rainfall of five cm, Kochi, Mavelikara, Thodhpuzha and Perumbavoor recevied four cm each.

The Met office also warned of isolated heavy rains in a few places in Kerala and Lakshwadweep.
