Haryana govt not to transfer teachers after Nov 1

Chandigarh, Oct 30 (UNI) The Haryana government has decided that no transfers of teachers would be made after November 1, keeping in view the interests of the student community.

This was stated by the Haryana Education Minister Mange Ram Gupta here today.

He said only those transfers would be effected which were under process upto October 31. Thereafter, no new transfer proposal would be considered, he added.

This step, he said, had been taken to ensure that the process of study did not hamper due to transfers.

Mr Gupta said mid-session transfers not only affected the study of the students but also the performance of the teachers.

He said the Education Department was devising an innovative scheme to reward those teachers who would show outstanding results in their respective classes.
