Govt staff go on casual leave en masse

Hyderabad, Oct 30 (UNI) Members of the Struggle Committee of the Central and the State Government, Public Sector Employees, Teachers and Workers today went on a casual leave en masse to press for their 17-point charter of demands, including continuation of the pension scheme in the present form and right to strike.

Struggle Committee Organising Secretary M Janardhan Reddy told newspersons here that more than 80 per cent of the 10 lakh employees, who went on en masse casual leave, organised a protest meet in the city.

Leaders of the major central trade unions addressed the meet and expressed solidarity with the workers.
