Governor inaugurates tribal fair in HP

Shimla, Oct 30 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Governor V S Kokje today stressed the need for according priority to development of tribal areas of the state, which remained cut off from rest of the world during winter season.

While inaugurating the three-day state level tribal fair at Rekong Peo in Kinnaur district, Mr Kokje said such tribal fair and festivals not only promote the cultural activities in these areas but tribal products were also exhibited during the fair.

He said tribal areas were repository of our rich culture which needed to be preserved at all costs.

Mr Kokje also inaugurated the exhibitions installed on the occasion.
