Girl drowned in Pondy village

Puducherry, Oct 30 (UNI) A 15-year-old girl from Manalipet village in Mannadipet constituency drowned in the Sankarabharani river last evening.

Police today said Indhumathi along with two of her friends were taking a bath in the river when she was washed away following heavy flow of water.

The body, retrieved after a search operation, was sent for post-mortem, police said.
