Fire in petrol tanker injures 2 policemen

Agra, Oct 30 (UNI) Two policemen sustained severe burns after a petrol tanker caught fire on Agra-Gwalior highway, police said here today.

The incident occurred late last night, when the tanker, carrying petrol, overturned in an attempt to avert a road accident.

Two of the cops, who reached the spot, later became target of the fire that gripped the vehicle after a sudden blast.

The blaze was, however, extinguished by the fire-fighters.

The injured were rushed to hospital, where one is stated to be critical.
