CPI(M) activist succumbs to injuries

Palakkad, Oct 30 (UNI) A CPI(M) activist Ravindran, who was seriously injured in an attack by a group of people yesterday, succumbed to injuries today at a private hospital in Coimbatore near here.

Another CPI(M) worker Gopalakrishnan was killed last night when a group of people attacked him with swords at Kadukkamkunnu in Malampuzha, according to police.

The CPI(M) observed a hartal in Palakkad district alleging that the BJP activists were involved in the murder. Three RSS activists were arrested in connection with the case.

Meanwhile, BJP activist Krishnaprasad was attacked by a group of people with sharp-edged weapons at Malampuzha. He was rushed to the nearby government hospital.
