Chargesheet filed in fake sting operation case

New Delhi, Oct 30 (UNI) The Crime Branch of the Delhi Police today filed a chargesheet in a city court in the fake sting operation case that showed a Delhi school teacher involved in a prostitution racket.

Filing the chargesheet in the court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, the police charged Prakash Singh, the reporter concerned and Virender Kumar Arora, a businessman, under sections 120(B), 193, 196, 411, 417, 419, 420, 468 and 471 of the IPC.

The teacher, Uma Khurana, has been placed under column 2 of the chargesheet and section 5 of ITP Act, the police said, adding there would be a supplementary chargesheet as soon as they get the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) report.

Another girl, Rashmi Singh, who was also the part of the sting, had turned approver in the case.

The court will hear the argument on the charges tomorrow.
