Kolkata, Oct 30 (UNI) The CBI today grilled four Kolkata police officers, including two of IPS cadre, in connection with the alleged threat to computer graphics teacher Rizwanur Rahman, who died mysteriously following his marriage with Priyanka Todi, daughter of an industrialist.

''The IPS officers have said a lot of things,'' CBI Joint Director Arun Kumar told reporters.

Mr Kumar and CBI DIG Satish Golcha interrogated former Deputy Commissioners Gyanwant Singh and Ajay Kumar, who were in-charge of the headquarters and detective department respectively for about half-an-hour at a guest house.

The CBI sleuths also continued for eight hours interrogation of former Assistant Commissioner of police Sukanti Chakraborty and Krishnendu Das, who was a sub-inspector under Chakraborty in the anti-rowdy section of the detective department.

The CBI sources said the bank accounts of both Chakraborty and Das had been scrutinised.

While Chakraborty had allegedly called and unnecessarily harassed Rizwanur and his wife on the basis of a complaint by Ashok Todi, Das had allegedly sent threatening and abusive calls.

All the four officials, besides the then city Police Commissioner Prasun Mukherjee had already been transferred by the state Government at the instruction of Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee.

Yesterday, the Central agency questioned four other policemen, including the in-charges of Karaya and Entally police stations in connection with the death of Rizwanur, whose body was found beside the railway track at Patipukur on the city's northern fringe on September 21.
