Lucknow, Oct 30 (UNI) BJP workers today burnt the copies of controversial book 'Sacchi Ramayan' at the party headquarters in front of Vidhan Sabha here.

The party workers blocked the Vidhan Sabha road and burnt the copies of the book, alleging it depicted Lord Ram in derogatory terms.

The Bharatiya Janata Party leader L K Advani and party President Rajnath Singh, who were here in the state capital a couple of days ago, had called upon the partymen to oppose the sale of the book in all possible manner.

The BJP workers raised anti-BSP slogans before burning the copies of the book.
