Annual Conference of Pharmacologist to begin from Nov 1

Mohali, Oct 30 (UNI) Nearly 1000 pharmacological intellectuals, academicians and scientists spearheading the pharmacology education throughout the country and abroad will participate in the 40th Annual Conference of the Indian Pharmacological Society to be organised by the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) from November 1 to 3 here at NIPER.

While announcing this here today, NIPER Director and Organising Secretary of the Society P Rama Rao said that the conference with the theme "Changing Trends in Drug Discovery and Development" is an attempt to understand the different aspects of drug discovery and development and provide a forum to drug discovery scientists and pharmacologists who are in different facets viz academia, industry, research institutes and regulatory authorities to exhange ideas.

"The conference, to be inaugurated by Haryana Governor A R Kidawai at NIPER on November 1, will provide an opportunity to the participants to deliberate on our scientific strategies in an effort to keep up with the paradigm shift in drug discovery and development occuring in this millennium," Mr Rao added.
