Tiruchirapalli, Oct 30 (UNI) The newly formed All India Scheduled Caste Reservation Protection Forum (AISCRPF) today appealed to the Centre not to extend any reservation or concessions to converted Muslims and Christians on par with other Scheduled Castes.

AISCRPF President K V Madanan told newspersons here today that the governments and political parties were supporting the demand of converted Christians and Muslims that they should be given all reservation benefits and other constitutional status as available to other Scheduled Castes.

Describing as 'death blow' the Justice Ranganatha Mishra report, which recommended same reservation benefits for converted Christians and Muslims, he alleged ''the term converted Christians and Muslims is only a shield to cover the religious conversion activities in the country.'' He said the AISCRPF would resort to agitations, if the Centre failed to drop their plan of extending all reservation benefits to converted Christians and Muslims.
