V K Agnihotri appointed new Secretary General of RS

New Delhi, Oct 29 (UNI) Mr Vivek Kumar Agnihotri, a retired IAS officer, has been appointed Secretary General of the Rajya Sabha for two years.

He succeeds Dr Yogendra Narain.

Mr Agnihotri, who retired as Secretary from the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, assumed the charge today.

According to Rajya Sabha secretariat, he would have the status of the cabinet secretary.
