Three seriously injured in road accident

Howrah, Oct 29 (UNI) Three persons, including a minor, were severly injured when an auto rickshaw turned turtle, in attempts to give way to a cycle rickshaw in Khajurtti under Bagnan police station this morning.

Bagnan hospital sources reported that in fact four people had been injured. While one had been released after first aid, the other three, comprising two women and one minor, were still in serious condition.

Police said that local public have set the auto ablaze and have reported that only three persons had been injured.

Reportedly, the last three years have witnessed 20 deaths in similar accidents in the area.

Two of the injured have later been transferred to Uluberia sub divisional hospital.
