Three KLO militants sent to police remand

Cooch Behar, Oct 29 (UNI) The Tufanganj Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate here today sent three Kamtapuri Liberation Organisation (KLO) ultras, who were arrested yesterday, to police remand.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Anil Kumar said acting on tip-off, police nabbed Mahesh Singh, Ranjit Ray alias Gobind Rabha and Biplab Kumar Ray alias Billoo from the Choto Guma area under Baksirhat police station at Cooch Behar yesterday.

While two of them were from Jalpaiguri, one was a resident of Darjeeling, he said.

A nine mm pistol, eight rounds of cartridges, some incriminating documents and a map were seized from their possession, the SP added.
