Teenager killed in Ghaziabad accident

New Delhi, Oct 29 (UNI) A teenager was killed after being run over by a truck on NH 24 near Ghaziabad this evening, sources said.

Nafees, (15), from Biharipura under Vijay Nagar police station, Ghaziabad was crossing the road when he was hit by a speeding truck. He died on the spot.

An enraged mob gathered at the spot and blocked the highway for ovre two hours. They set afire the truck and damaged several other vehicles.

The police fired four rounds in the air to disperse the crowd after a lathicharge failed to bring the situation under control.

Acording to a police spokesman, senior police officials rushed to the spot and assured the people of prompt action in the case.
