Ranbaxy gets USFDA's tentative nod to manufacture Valsartan tablet

New Delhi, Oct 29 (UNI) Pharma major Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd today said it has received tentative approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to manufacture and market Valsartan tablets in the strength of 40 mg, 80 mg, 160 mg and 320 mg.

''These product formulations have been developed organically within Ranbaxy and will further expand our product portfolio of affordable generic alternatives," company's Vice President of Sales and Distribution said.

Valsartan is used in the treatment of hypertension alone or in combination with other anti-hypertensive agents. It is also indicated for the treatment of heart failure.
