Noted theater personality Ms Prema Kanath died

Bangalore, Oct 29 (UNI) Noted theater and film personality, Prema Karanth (71) died following prolonged illness here today.

She was the wife of late renowned music composer and theater personality B V Karanth.

Ms Karanth directed 'Paniyamma' which was adjudged the best national movie. She had also directed the childrens film 'Nakkala Rajakumari' and Hindi film 'Bandh Zaroorke'. 'Paniyamma' was screened in six international film festivals.
