North-South train traffic through Nagpur affected

Nagpur, Oct 29 (UNI) Train traffic through Nagpur on the north-south route has been affected because of heavy rains on the Gudur-Vijaywada section of South-Central Railway (SCR).

The 2615 Chennai-New Delhi GT Express, scheduled to pass through Nagpur tomorrow, had been cancelled, according to a Central Railway (CR) release here today.

The 2621 Chennai-New Delhi Tamil Nadu Express, 2669 Chennai-Chhapra Express and 6328 Thiruvananthapuram-Korba Express had been rescheduled, and would arrive in Nagpur indefinitely late tomorrow, it said.

The positions of the trains were being announced at Nagpur and other major stations and assistance counters had been opened for giving information to passengers, the release said.

Passengers not willing to travel by trains running more than three hours late can get full refund on their tickets, it added.
