Four dead, 5 hurt in accidents in Kashmir
Srinagar, Oct 29 (UNI) Four people, including two siblings, died and five others wounded in different accidents across Kashmir valley, police said today.
A truck hit a scooter at Harnag in Kulgam district, resulting in on-the-spot death of pillion rider Asmath Ara and injuries to her brother Fida Hussain (both residents of Anantnag district).
However, the wounded also succumbed to injuries on way to Sher-i-Kashmir Institue of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura here.
In another accident, a tractor hit and injured a five-year-old boy, Akil Ahmad Bhat at Kulmoona in Handwara area of Kupwara district. The boy was rushed to a hospital where he died.
A person, Salam-ud-din, died and another, Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhora, (both residents of Nowgam in Banihal area) was injured when stones fell on them while working in a stone quarry at Brakpora, Anantnag.
A Maruti car hit another car near Chanabal in Pattan area of Baramulla district, resulting in injuries to three people.
An Army vehicle of 12 Assam regiment hit and wounded, a boy, 12-year-old Mohammad Qasim at Trehgam in Kupwara district. Police have registered a case in this regard.
