Employees' strike call illegitimate: Haryana Govt

Chandigarh, Oct 29 (UNI) The Haryana government today said the strike call given by the Haryana Karamchari Mahasangh for tomorrow was illegitimate .

''The government does not consider the call for strike by Haryana Karamchari Mahasangh (affiliated to Akhil Bhartiya Rajya Karamchari Talmel Samiti) legitimate,'' an official spokesman said today.

The spokesman said if any one indulged in disruption of work, he would be dealt with firmly.

He said all the heads of departments, Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and Managing Directors and Chief Administrators of all the Boards and Corporations in Haryana had been asked to prepare a contingency plan so that the office functioning and esssential services did not suffer on account of the strike.

The government had examined the issues on which the strike call had been given and these issues did not warrant such a course of action on the part of employees at the moment, the spokesman added.
