Cherpulassery Sivan gets Kalamandalam fellowship

Thrissur, Oct 29 (UNI) 'Panchavadya' exponent Cherpulassery Sivan was selected for the prestigious Kerala Kalamandalam fellowship for his contribution to the field of art and culture.

While Sadanam Unnikrishnan bagged the Kalamandam award for 'Kathakali Vesham,' Kalanilayam Unnikrishnan and Kalanilayam Ramachakyar got recognition for 'Kathakali Sangeetham' and 'Koodiyattam' respectively.

Kalamandalam Leelama got the award for Dance and Kalamandalam Devaki for 'Thullal.' The awards carrying cash prize of Rs 10,000 and citation were announced by Kalamandalam Vice-Chancellor Dr K G Poulose, Selection Commitee Chairman Kalamandalam Ramankutty Nair and Registrar N R Gramaprakash here.
