Bank of India clocks a profit of Rs 4,252.70 mn for Q2

Mumbai, Oct 29 (UNI) Bank of India (BOI) has posted a net profit of Rs 4,252.70 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 2,121.30 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2006.

Total income has increased from Rs 2,5192.90 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 to Rs 3,5036.70 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2007.

During the second quarter BOI opened a representative office at Johannesburg in South Africa.

The Bank has launched BOI National Swasthya Bima, a health policy especially designed for its account holders. BOI has also set up a subsidiary in Tanzania during the quarter.
