9 held for clash in Lankan refugee camp

Tiruchirapalli, Oct 29 (UNI) Police arrested nine Sri Lankan Tamils from the Kottappattu Refugee Camp in connection with yesterday's group clash.

Police said a wordy duel between Santhalingam and Raja over spitting in a common place resulted a free for all with their supporters attacking each other.

Police rushed to the spot and arrested Raja(26), Rajan (24), Katheeswaran (25), Easwaran (23), Sanathalingam and his sons Sudharsan (32), Sudheevan (27), Rajini Kanth (25) and Vinod Kumar.

Later, they were released on bail.
