'Original' REL Investors Forum decries RPL IPO sabotage bid

New Delhi, Oct 28 (UNI) In a further twist between REL investors Forum and the ADAG, a new body claiming to be the original investor forum today said a self-styled organisations purported to be Reliance Energy Investors Forum has sprung up out of no where to create confusion among investors ''It has come to our notice that some fraudulent and self-styled organisations purported to be Reliance Energy Investors Forum has sprung up out of no where to create confusion among investors,'' said the Forum in a statement.

We would like to state that we, as the original REL Investors Forum, have been working actively in the interest of our investor community for quite some time now, it added.

This comes after an association of investors in Anil Ambani-led Reliance Energy had alleged that the planned public offer of group company Reliance Power will erode the value for REL shareholders, but ADAG termed it as a "vicious campaign" by vested industrial interests.

''The series of malicious campaign against Reliance Power and Reliance Energy seems to be a motivated attempt to sabotage the Reliance Power's IPO process,'' the 'original' investor body calimed.

In fact, Reliance Energy stock has hit its life-time high on the announcement of Reliance Power IPO. We are therefore confident that Reliance Power, as a separate business entity, will substantially add value to our portfolio and be an effective medium for wealth creation for the investor community, it added.
