Fake godman held for sexual abuse of kids

Nagpur, Oct 28 (UNI) Police have arrested a fake godman on charges of sexual abuse of children in Buldhana district in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra.

According to police, the godman, identified as Parmanand Lalarao Jadhav (50), was arrested in Khamgaon late last night. The arrest was made after a 19-year old boy lodged a complaint about the abuse, police said.

It is suspected that Jadhav used to lure children between 10 and 19 years of age into his 'ashram' in the town and then commit the heinous act.

An offence has been registered under section 377 (unnatural offences) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), police added.
